The female-friendliness of New Zealand's tennis clubs

Across an array of contexts, a ‘female-friendly environment’ is increasingly thought to positively impact participation levels for women and girls. The aim this study provide insights on the female-friendliness New Zealand’s tennis clubs. Both numeric text data were collected as part 2021 National Sport Club Survey. Tennis club representatives agreed more strongly that their has suitable changing facilities women/girls playing/training times are equally allocated than across full sample every sport. Within typology female-friendly clubs, most fit into disengaged category in which prevailing view unfortunately isn’t issue existing inclusion efforts good enough. It suggested organisations at regional national level information strategies clubs have aspiration become female-friendly.
